You guys are on it! House Republicans Tuesday afternoon killed a Senate-passed compromise on a short-term extension of the payroll tax cut that is funded, in part, by hiking the guarantee fees charged to seller/servicers by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.- Blane Hamilton

It is uncertain how these proposed changes would affect future mortgage rates. Currently, home loan rates are at historic lows, but how many people actually qualify for these loans? Home mortgage rates are some of the best rates they’ve ever been right now for borrowers. Now is a good time to borrow if you are in the market for a new home or to refinance.

The new and revised Home Affordable Refinance Program and with no loan to value restrictions this government relief effort make actually help out some Americans. It’s been a few months since HUD announced the Power Saver loan program. Of course this is a pilot program that extends financing to homeowners who are implemented energy conservation solutions to their homes.

You actually make it seem so easy in your article, but I find this matter to be really something that I think I would never understand. It seems like credit lines and 2nd mortgages are too complicated to qualify for these days. I am looking forward to lenders easing guidelines for cash out refinancing.
